Episode 16 - Creased Custard PieIngredients

250gr filo pastry (12-14 filo sheets)

1 can of condensed milk

1 egg

250gr butter

1tbsp of semolina

Cinnamon or icing sugar

Method

Melt the butter in a saucepan or microwave.

Place the filo sheets in a deep baking tray, close to each other while creasing them.

Pour the butter and make sure it’s evenly spread on top of every sheet.

Pre-heat the oven at 180 and place the filo pastry for 30 minutes, until it gets a golden colour.

Mix the condensed milk, the egg and the semolina in a bowl and pour it on top of the filo pastry sheets.

Put it back in the oven at 180 for another 20 minutes.

Once it’s ready sprinkle with icing sugar and cinnamon.
